CARE TIPS

KEEP IT DRY

To reduce tarnishing, keep dry when possible. You can simply dry off with a towel or cloth if it gets wet.

TARNISH CARE

Tags are made from 100% real metals and tarnishing is expected. To keep you tag looking bright, I recommend cleaning your tag every few months.

INK FADE

If the ink fades, simply use a sharpie to refill your stamps with. Wipe away excess with super fine steel wool (#0000).

BUFFING

Next, you will clean all the sharpie off the surface of the tag by taking super fine steel wool (#0000) in a circular motion until most of the sharpie is gone from the surface of the tag.

POLISH

Use the polishing pad to buff up your tag to a high shine. You can also safely use metal polishers on your tag. If the ink is fading and/or tag is tarnished, refer to the “ink fade” and “buffing” steps before polishing your tag.

POLISHING KITS

How to clean, ink & polish!

The steps are similar to the ones above. Start by filling in your tag with the sharpie marker & make sure to get all of the stamps filled in nicely. Let it dry for a few minutes. Next, take your steel wool and rub hard. I like to do this over the top of a piece of paper because the steel wool will shed and make a little mess. You will have a pretty clean tag at this point, but to give it that super shine back, take the white polishing pad and rub it hard over the tag and you will start to see the shine come alive! Repeat this as often as you’d like to keep the tag fresh!
